Recommended Course Sequencing
The tables below illustrate the recommended course sequencing for the Business major.
Option 1

In this sequencing, in your first three semesters, you will take ECON 2a/10a, BUS 6a and BUS 10a as well as BUS 51a and one Business and Society elective. Unless you can exempt from it, BUS 51a is a pre-requisite for two BUS core courses (BUS 103a, BUS 152a) and one elective, BUS 172a.
During your last five semesters, you will need to complete three BUS core courses (BUS 103a, BUS 120a, BUS 152a) and three BUS administration electives. You will also need to complete one more Business & Society elective, as well as Business Communications (BUS 47a).
If you study abroad (most likely in the spring of your junior year), you should seek to count one of those courses as Business and Society and take the missed BUS core course during your senior year. Please consult with the Undergraduate Advising Head (UAH) for Study Abroad before finalizing your overseas coursework.
Option 2
You are permitted to take BUS 6a and BUS 10a in the same semester. If you do so, the only core courses you can take immediately afterwards are BUS 51a and BUS 120a. (The one exception is if you are exempt from BUS 51a, you may take any of the core courses beginning in your third semester.)
