Brandeis Student Luke Farberman '27 Recognized for Voter Registration, Education and Turnout Efforts in 2025

Luke Farberman '27 selected for 2026 National ALL IN Student Voting Honor Roll

April 8, 2026

Luke Farberman '27 honored by ALL INOn April 8, Brandeis University and the ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge (ALL IN) honored student Luke Farberman as part of the fifth annual ALL IN Student Voting Honor Roll. The 2026 ALL IN Student Voting Honor Roll recognizes college students at participating campuses who have gone above and beyond to advance nonpartisan student voter registration, education and turnout efforts in their communities.

Farberman is one of  168 students across the country being recognized for their contributions to creating a more civically engaged culture within their campus communities. From civic learning to voter participation, these students lead by example and empower their peers to become lifelong participants in democracy.

They represent a diverse array of institutions and played a pivotal role in empowering their peers to make their voices heard. Previous Brandeis University honorees include Maddie Leventhal '26, (2025 ALL IN Student Voting Honor Roll); Yoni Kahn '24 and Heller School,  (2024 ALL IN Student Voting Honor Roll); and Maia Lefferman ’25, (2023 ALL IN Student Voting Honor Roll).

Farberman has been a steadfast and creative voter registration volunteer. In the 2024-25 academic year he participated in Massachusetts Campus Voting Summit hosted by Harvard University and came back with an idea: from a mention of a “VoteGoat” at another school in the U.S, Luke spearheaded the Brandeis Vote Goat - the signature VoteDeis event of the year.

At the October 2024 event, 200 Brandeis students took photos holding the "Vote Goat" - an actual baby goat - and signs promoting voting. There was voter registration and absentee ballot support as well. The event galvanized support for non-partisan voter participation efforts at Brandeis and became an unofficial calling card for the VoteDeis Campus Coalition, with the Vote Goat featured on stickers and flyers and a banner in the Shapiro Campus Center.

In the 2025-26 academic year Farberman developed and led and interactive workshop educating peers on state and local government, and was a leader in the establishment of a VoteDeis student club, chartered by student government. He also presented the Vote Goat model at the Students Learn Students Vote annual summit in Maryland, and helped lead the newly-established student club, part of the VoteDeis Campus Coalition of faculty, staff and students.

"What is striking about Luke is he has strong political convictions and works to support those convictions separate from VoteDeis – and he believes so strongly in full participation in the democratic process that he devotes significant time, energy and creativity to non-partisan voter education and engagement, and to civic dialogue more broadly," said David Weinstein, VoteDeis Coordinator and Assistant Director of ENACT: The Abraham Feinberg Educational Network for Active Civic Transformation.

We are thrilled to celebrate their accomplishments and excited to see their continued impact as we approach this year’s midterm elections.”

ALL IN supports more than 1,000 campuses and 10 million students nationally to make nonpartisan civic engagement an ongoing part of campus life. Members of the 2026 Student Voting Honor Roll were nominated by campus leaders for their dedication and excellence in voter education, registration and turnout in 2025.
