Slate Application System

Slate is a multi-functional database for faculty, staff, and student workers who have access to GSAS applications. In Slate, committees will review applications, share feedback about the applications with one another, and enter decision recommendations for each application. You will also be able to monitor responses to admission offers as they are received. Manuals walking you through various Slate functionalities and processes are found below.

Slate is Brandeis’ official system of record for GSAS admission data; it is important that ALL relevant applicant data and supplementary materials are in Slate. Slate ultimately feeds into Workday, from which all official University data will be reported. In addition, information in Slate is fed to several offices on campus, including the Registrar and Student Financial Services. Please bear the importance of accurate data in mind when using Slate.

If you have questions or need guidance about security of applications within your department, please contact GSAS or Information Technology Services. “Security of applications” includes any security risk that is introduced by discouraged processes such as downloading and/or printing applications from the Slate system.
