Applying Electronically (preferred method)
A $75 application fee is required of all students who apply online. You will be prompted to pay via credit card or electronic check immediately after submitting your application. Applications will not be reviewed by the graduate admission committee until your fee has been received and processed.
Applying via Hard-Copy/Paper Application
Please note that we strongly prefer applications to be submitted electronically. A $75 application fee is required of all students that apply via hard-copy or paper. Once the information from your paper application has been entered into the application system, you will receive an email from our office prompting you to pay the application fee. Applications will not be reviewed by the graduate admission committee until your fee has been received and processed.

Please note: the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences will not consider application fee waivers for the following:
- Unemployment or under-employment without documentation of government assistance
- Currency exchange rates for those residing abroad
How to Request A Financial Hardship Fee Waiver
Please follow the instructions below:
- Create an application account by starting your application.
- Complete the Fee Waiver Request Form. Note: If you started your PhD/Master's application very recently, it may take a few minutes for the system to register your new application and grant you access to the Fee Waiver Request Form.
- Once you have submitted your waiver request, you will receive an email within 3-5 business days indicating whether you have been granted a waiver. If you are not granted a fee waiver, you will need to pay the application fee when you submit your application.
IMPORTANT: You may only apply for a fee waiver once per application cycle. Please be sure you submit the supporting documents as described in the Request Form, as you will be unable to resubmit your form.
Please allow yourself plenty of time to complete this process prior to the application deadline.
Do not submit your application until your fee waiver has been confirmed via an email. Please note: paid application fees will not be refunded.
