I am filled with enthusiasm for my new position as class correspondent following such a fun 35th Reunion. I was happy to reconnect with so many members of our class, and hope that we can keep the warm feelings alive by keeping in touch — through our Facebook group, attendance at Brandeis events and submission of Class Notes. I have lived in Merrick, N.Y., for the past 26 years — since I married a Long Islander! We have two sons, Elliot, 23, and Jacob, 16. After taking time off following the birth of my second child, I am looking to re-enter the field of health care administration. I serve as membership chair for the Drama Boosters at our high school and chair of the school board at the Merrick Jewish Centre. I also interview prospective Brandeis students through the Alumni Admissions Council. Hope to hear from you all in the near future.
Wendy Ehrlich married Todd Jick at the couple’s Cape Cod summer home in September 2012. Wendy continues to serve as executive producer of corporate meetings and events for her own company, Wendy Ehrlich Associates; no event was more satisfying to produce than her early-fall wedding. Wendy married into a prominent Brandeis family. Todd’s late father, Professor Leon Jick, P’74, P’79, G’09, G’12, taught Jewish studies during our years at Brandeis. Todd’s brothers, Andy ’74 and Dan ’79, P’09, P’12; sister-in-law Elizabeth ’81, P’09, P’12; niece Jamie ’09; and nephew Josh ’12 round out the Brandeisians in the newly blended family. Wendy and Todd live in New York City, where Todd is a professor at Columbia Business School. Indiana Gov. Mike Pence named Neil Pickett, executive director of policy, planning and outreach at Indiana University Health, to the Indiana Career Council to represent the life sciences industry. The 16-member council is designed to increase coordination among those who work in the state’s education, jobs-skills development and career training systems. Prior to joining IU Health in 2009, Neil served for four years as senior policy director for Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels. Robert Schaufeld’s daughter Emi is studying film and television at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. A graduate of Great Neck (N.Y.) South High, she enjoys acting, writing and directing. Emi was co-captain of the school’s improv group.
