Lisa Manheim teaches middle-school English in Westchester, New York, and chairs her school’s English department. She recently sharpened her writing pen as a regular contributor on such blogs as Fairfield County Moms Blog, based in Connecticut; Kveller.com; and ScaryMommy.com. She’s been happily married for 10 years and has a hilarious 9-year-old son. Ryan Rothenberg, who graduated in 1996 from Nova Southeastern Law Center, joined the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue in 2004. For the past two years, Ryan has been the fire captain on technical-rescue, suppression and fire-rescue trucks. He and his wife, Jessica, who celebrated their 18th anniversary in March, live in Miami with their children, Hanna, 15, and Milo, 14.
