James C. Moyer, MA’68, PhD’69, received the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his outstanding contributions to his profession and the Marquis Who’s Who community. James retired in 2015 as head of the Department of Religious Studies at Southwest Missouri State University after 22 years in that role. He still teaches one course at the university each year. He’s been married to Roberta Helen Goff since 1965; they have three children and seven grandchildren.
