New York state poet laureate Alicia (Suskin) Ostriker and a colleague have collected dozens of foreign-language translations, created by American poets with immigration histories, of Emma Lazarus’ Statue of Liberty poem, “The New Colossus.” You can read the collection on the American Jewish Historical Society website. Murray Woldman lives in an 1854 house in the historic Old Town neighborhood in Alexandria, Virginia. He writes, “I remain thankful for Brandeis and what it did for my life. Be well, all you fellow survivors.” Sylvia (Ford) Zippor, who lives in Jerusalem, hopes everyone is staying well.
