Robert Hawkins, Heller MA’00, Heller PhD’02, is associate dean for academic affairs in the Silver School of Social Work at New York University. Previously, he was assistant dean and director of undergraduate programs. He’s been a tenured faculty member since 2012. William Mejia, IBS MA’02, has launched Arrebol Capital, a venture capital firm that invests in Latin American startups with high social impact. In the 2021 Independent Book Publishers Association’s Benjamin Franklin Awards, a book by Gregory Wilson, PhD’02, “Icarus,” won a Silver award in the Best Graphic Novel category. Meron Langsner, MFA’04, is vice president at Cooper & Cooper Real Estate in New York City. Christina Snell, MFA’04, is a Realtor at the San Diego real estate brokerage Coldwell Banker West. Daphne Hunt, Heller MA’06, is deputy secretary for legislative affairs at the California Health and Human Services Agency. Olajide Olagunju, Heller MA’06, MA’08, is an adjunct professor at Bakke Graduate University, teaching conflict resolution. His lecture series “How to Resolve a Conflict” is available on YouTube, and his book by the same name (previously titled “Alternative Dispute Resolution”) was named BookAuthority’s Best Alternative Dispute Resolution eBook. Tamara Tai, Heller MBA’06, is deputy director of King Boston, a nonprofit working to honor the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King. Tamara assists with public-policy development, advocacy, external relations and strategic planning. Audrey (Shore) Beerman, MA’07, helps people achieve sustainable change and meaningful progress toward their goals through her practice, Beerman Coaching & Consulting. She and her family live in Delray Beach, Florida. Herbert Twase, Heller MS’07, holds the program manager 2 position in the Louisiana Department of Health’s Medicaid Quality Improvement and Innovations Section. Brian Gold, MA’08, is the inaugural director of the Massachusetts Early Childhood Funder Collaborative. Martha Cristina Morales, Heller MA’08, is celebrating the arrival of a daughter, Gabriela Cristina, who joins siblings Mario Raul and Diego Jose. “Nature Inside,” a 2020 book co-authored by Catherine Ryan, Heller MA’08, is a practical look at biophilic design principles for interior designers. Sarah Winawer-Wetzel, Heller MBA’09, is director of administration for Penn Medicine’s palliative care program.
