A solo exhibition of Deborah Beck’s plein-air and studio paintings, “On Land and Sea: Central New York and Monhegan Island, Maine,” was held this summer at the Fenimore Art Museum, in Cooperstown, New York. Her work was also part of a group show, “Celebrate Five Decades of Women in the Arts Foundation,” at the Ceres Gallery, in New York City. Elizabeth (Freund) Fideler is the editor of “The Rowman & Littlefield Handbook on Aging and Work,” which will be published this fall. David Kann’s fourth poetry chapbook, “Notes on the Creation,” has been published by Finishing Line Press. Joe Weber writes, “I can’t freakin’ believe how old we are. Let us not go gentle into that good night.”
