SciSpaces Pilot Program

September 6, 2019

The SciSpaces Project engages Brandeis freshmen and sophomores with the scientific research community through peer mentorship. The pilot took place over four consecutive Fridays and was designed to form relationships, provide insight into the life of a researcher and give an accessible introduction to primary literature. We aimed to strengthen connections between undergrad and graduate students at Brandeis and further their interest in the sciences. The ratio of mentoring was 2-4 undergraduates per graduate student mentor. The greatest indicator of SciSpaces' success will be relationships that outlast the monthlong project.
