Program Overview
Immerse yourself in the criminal justice system, explore how it really works and learn how to make it better. This JBS program combines course instruction in criminal law and procedure with supervised internships inside the criminal law process.
You will be challenged to use new skills of investigation and advocacy to address the problem of wrongful conviction, in conjunction with the Justice Brandeis Innocence Project, run by the Schuster Institute for Investigative Journalism.
The courses combine elements of two interdepartmental programs, legal studies and journalism, and are aimed at students in all majors who want to tackle some of the most difficult issues of social justice facing our society today.
