Research

The Press laboratory conducted research on the development and function of primary and memory B cells in the neonatal and adult mouse. 

Teaching

Dr. Press taught immunology, microbiology, and infectious disease courses for science and non-science majors. Additionally, she was the Undergraduate Advising Head (UAH) for the Biology department, Coordinator of Independent Research, Coordinator of Senior Research and Honors, and Study Abroad Advisor. She facilitated research opportunities for minority students at other institutions. Additionally, she directed the Howard Hughes Undergraduate Summer Research Program for 13 years as well as other summer programs thereafter.

She taught full-time and developed a set of courses with an infectious disease theme.
