About the Event

Berlin Brandenburg Gate during Covid 19Health expert Sophia Schlette will provide an overview about the policy responses, containment and mitigation measures taken in Germany to stop the Coronavirus from spreading since the first patient was diagnosed with Covid-19 in late January. It will be quite insightful to take a look at state level responses versus central level responses in a situation where still many unknowns exist. In an emergency situation, it is also interesting to look at the advisers, what was learned from international experiences, how the general public responded, what the impact has been so far and how the debate has begun to shift from a generalized lockdown with manifold unintended consequences to more focussed long-term measures of prevention and protection.
