Anti-Discrimination Policy

Dear Brandeis Community,
As we start the new academic year, we would like to reiterate that Braneis University is committed to providing an educational and work environment free of discrimination, harassment and sexual violence, where all people are treated with respect and dignity.
The Office of Equal Opportunity (OEO) at Brandeis is responsible for addressing all issues of discrimination, harassment and sexual violence within the Brandeis community. We encourage students, staff and faculty to email us or call 781-736-4806 with any questions or concerns. You can also report any concerns through our online OEO portal. We are sharing the following university policies regarding these areas to make you aware of your rights and what we can do to assist you:
- Brandeis prohibits discrimination and harassment against students, staff and faculty on the basis of race, color, national origin, caste, ethnicity, sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, including transgender identity, religion, disability, age, genetics, active military or veteran status and any other characteristics protected under applicable federal or Massachusetts law.
- Brandeis also prohibits sexual violence against students, staff and faculty which includes sexual assault, stalking, dating violence and domestic violence.
