Pre-participation Exams for Athletes
The PreParticipation Physical Evaluation (PPE) is a screening tool for injuries, illnesses, or underlying conditions that might place an athlete at risk during vigorous physical activity and competition. We encourage Student Athletes to obtain this exam from a Primary Care Provider who knows them well, however, in situations where the Student is unable to obtain a PPE prior to their Brandeis arrival, Brandeis Health Center Providers perform comprehensive PPEs and the NCAA Sickle Cell Screening test as needed.
