Student Health Center

Student Health Advisory Committee

The Brandeis University Student Health Advisory Committee (SHAC) is a team of undergraduate and graduate students interested in health-related concerns on Brandeis’s campus. Members of SHAC work together with health services to promote mental and physical wellness, increase student’s accessibility to care, and establish communication for an overall satisfying and healthy college experience.

The purpose of SHAC is to be student representatives for the campus student body to the Student Counseling and Health Centers to advance efforts in improving the student experience.

The mission of SHAC is to promote health and wellness, provide education, and advocate for the health-related needs of all Brandeis students.

  • Raise awareness of health services provided and clarify short-term model
  • Increase access to care
  • Advocate for needs of students and recommend changes that will better serve Brandeis students
