Hornstein Jewish Professional Leadership Program

Brandeis University and JCC Association Launch New Leadership Development Partnership this Fall

Brandeis University’s Hornstein Jewish Professional Leadership Program is expanding its partnership with JCC Association of North America to offer a new professional development pathway for JCC staff across the country.

As part of this collaboration, JCC professionals will be invited to join a special cohort within Hornstein’s fully online master’s certificate in Jewish Professional Leadership. The initiative includes significant financial support: each participant will receive $2,000 in funding from JCC Association as well as up to $10,640 in scholarships from Hornstein’s Kraft Scholarship Fund — making the program more accessible to professionals committed to strengthening Jewish life through their work at their JCCs.

The online master’s certificate begins in October 2025 and takes approximately 8 months to complete. It includes the following accredited graduate courses:

  • Organizational Behavior in Jewish Nonprofits
  • Human Resources Management in Jewish Nonprofits
  • Confronting Contemporary Antisemitism
  • Skills and Techniques in Jewish Philanthropy and Fundraising

Interested candidates can learn more at an upcoming virtual information session on May 22 at 2 p.m. EDT.

To qualify for financial support from Hornstein and JCC Association, please apply to the master’s certificate and to JCC Association’s Professional Development Scholarship Program by Sept. 9.
