Teaching in the Humanities
In the Division of Humanities you’ll find a Brandeisian stamp everywhere: in creative writing courses that stir your imagination, philosophy courses that expand your powers of reasoning, literature and film courses that hone your interpretive skills, and classes in over a dozen languages from Arabic to Japanese and Russian to Yiddish.
You’ll also find the flexibility to learn outside the box: to shape your own major, cross disciplines, connect with your deepest interests while discovering new ones. Whether you want to translate Greek manuscripts or analyze Hollywood films, you’ll find courses that excite and inspire and faculty who will guide you through projects of your own design.
