Before You Arrive
Below you will find a month-by-month calendar which lists the tasks you need to complete between May and August. Please make sure you have taken care of these items before your arrival on campus.
May 2023

- Optional Pre-Orientation Applications are available (available May 2; deadline May 24):
Pre-Orientation programs are an opportunity to arrive on campus a few days early, meet other new students with similar interests and participate in engaging service and/or community-building programs before Orientation officially begins. There are community-specific Pre-Orientations for International students (International Student Welcome Days), the Myra Kraft Transitional Year Program (MKTYP) and the Student Support Services Program (SSSP), so members of those communities do not need to apply to an Optional Pre-Orientation program. Learn more about Pre-Orientation programs and how to apply on our Orientation site. - Complete the Writing Assessment (available May 3; deadline May 17) All incoming students (except MKTYP scholars) must complete the First-Year Writing Assessment. This includes transfer students and students with AP credits. The assessment will be available on LATTE May 3 and must be completed by May 17 to ensure you are placed in the appropriate first-year writing course.
