Creating Alliances

The Brandeis Pluralism Alliance (BPA) has established a grants program for student or faculty initiated projects that address issues of identity, pluralism and unity.

The general goals of the Brandeis Pluralism Alliance are:

  • To create opportunities for a large cross-section of students to question identity and community at a deeper level, and to reach a more thoughtful and enduring understanding of these issues.
  • To create alliances among different campus groups addressing issues of pluralism and unity.
  • To foster networking, communication and coalition building (e.g., having two or more clubs or organizations co-sponsor a project).
  • To provide funds for creative new pluralism and unity programming involving students and faculty.

Winners of "BPArt:  Pluralism and the Arts" Spring 2015 Awards are:

First prize: Amelie de Germay de Cirfontaine '18, selected photographs. 
 
Second prize: Clayre Benzadon '17, (un)Equal (Historical, Religious and Societal) Standards, selected poems. 
 
Third prize: Joel Burt-Miller '16, Could've Been Me and In The Sky, songs.
Nyah Macklin '16 and Theo Goetemann '17, Silence is Betrayal, song.
