Peer Support and Tutoring
Open to all Brandeis undergraduates, BUGS offers tutoring at no cost to students. Group Study Leaders are undergraduates who have successfully completed the relevant course(s), are recommended by faculty, and have been trained by Academic Services. These peer tutors lead sessions to review course material, discuss study strategies, and help prepare for assessments.
This student-run Student Accessibility Support (SAS) affinity group focuses on celebrating, supporting, and creating community for neurodivergent individuals. New members are always welcome!
This trained group of junior and senior peer academic advisors provides an informed and accessible peer perspective on navigating academics at Brandeis. They work closely with staff in Academic Services. All first year, midyear and transfer students at Brandeis are assigned a Roosevelt Fellow peer advisor to support them in their academic transition.
SAS Fellows support peers with disabilities and medical conditions with adjusting to academic and social environment of Brandeis. They provide a welcoming, stigma-free environment to answer questions related to accommodations and accessibility as well as provide guidance for the development of academic skills such as time management, organization, etc.
Undergraduate departmental representatives are peer advisers who have been selected for leadership positions with the aim of strengthening the undergraduate learning experience and community within their academic departments and programs.
“This is your chance to grow, learn, explore, and just be you. Brandeis makes that possible. You’ll find your people here — I promise.”
