Our research aims to understand the neural basis of cognition and behavior by studying processing at the cellular and network level in the neuronal circuits of the brain. We investigate how activity in population of neurons across different brain structures supports the ability to learn, remember and make decisions. We utilize multiple techniques, including behavior, chronic in vivo electrophysiology during behavior, optogenetics and computational methods.
