Theresa Weis is a senior from Andover, Massachusetts double majoring in Chemistry and Biology. After one semester of volunteering, Theresa became a coordinator for Brandeis Buddies which is a social and recreational program that brings together Brandeis students and adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities who work on campus. Additionally, during the 18-19 academic year, Theresa served as the House Representative for House 1: Health and Human Services. She is excited to return to the Executive Board and looks forward to furthering the development of each role and expanding the level of collaboration within Waltham Group, with other organizations at Brandeis and in the greater Waltham community. Outside of Waltham Group, Theresa is currently writing a thesis under Dr. James Haber in the Rosensteil Basic Medical Sciences Research Center.
Megan serves as a coordinator for Community Connections and is a junior majoring in Health: Science, Society, and Policy. Through her role, she plans all of Waltham Group's volunteer recruitment events throughout the year, assists in the planning of Volunteer appreciation and recognition events, and works with Volunteer Representatives to further foster and build the Waltham Group volunteer community. Megan works to advertise volunteer opportunities throughout the year and helps to lead Waltham Group trainings on volunteer engagement strategies regarding volunteer retention and volunteer recruitment. She also collaborates with campus partners, including the ICC, Gender and Sexuality Center, and Office for Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion, to assess, improve, and broaden WG volunteer recruitment strategies to reach student groups underrepresented in Waltham Group.
Rachel serves as a coordinator for General Tutoring and is a senior. In her role, Rachel provides oversight of the Waltham Group budget. She processes reimbursement paperwork submitted by Waltham Group coordinators to ensure that the budget is up to date and accurate and that forms get submitted properly to the Student Union. She also ensures that all invoice, reimbursement, and P-Card payments get accurately accounted for in the Waltham Group budget. At the end of each semester, she assists the President and Advisor with submitting all necessary paperwork to A-Board. She also attends any Student Union Treasurer Trainings or find a replacement to attend and update them on relevant information. As a part of her position, Rachel serves as a resource to assist programs with maximizing the utilization of their budget in a way that best meets their program’s mission.
Sarah Ernst is a senior majoring in History and Women's Studies from Doylestown, PA. Sarah serves as a coordinator for Community Connections and volunteers with many other Waltham Group clubs, including Big Siblings and Service Without Borders. As the Public Relations Coordinator, Sarah will be in charge of social media and expanding relations on campus. Check out Waltham Group's Facebook and Instagram to see her work!
As the community building coordinator and a coordinator for Service without Borders, Miranda helps to foster community between Waltham Group coordinators through intentional programming and activities. Miranda is a senior majoring in Biology and Health: Science, Society, and Policy, and is excited to strengthen relationships within Waltham Group this year. She hopes to use both passive and active programming to build a sense of identity and investment within Waltham Group. She is looking forward to collaborating with different departments on campus for trainings and programmings, as well as serving as a resource for coordinators who hope to strengthen relationships within their groups.
Ruth Adade is a senior majoring in Health: Science, Society and Policy (HSSP). Ruth serves as the coordinator for TAPS (Teaching Assistants in Public Schools). With the rest of the House Reps, she helps plan all Waltham Group coordinator, coordinator-in-training, and volunteer training initiatives. She specifically focuses on the programs of General Tutoring, Teaching Assistants in Public Schools, Big Siblings, SPECTRUM, and LEAP.
Devon serves as a coordinator for Habitat for Humanity in the Waltham Group. She is a senior, double majoring in Biochemistry and Chemistry. With the assistance of the other house representatives, she plans all Waltham Group coordinator, coordinator-in-training, and volunteer training initiatives, focusing on the following programs: Service Without Borders, Habitat for Humanity, Community Connections, Symbiosis, and Hunger and Homelessness. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening and cooking.
Audrey is a senior from Connecticut who is double-majoring in Biology and Health: Science, Society, and Policy with a minor in Hispanic Studies. She serves as a coordinator for Junior Brandeis Achievers (JBA), a Waltham Group focused on providing after school enrichment clubs at Stanley and Plympton Elementary Schools. With the rest of the House Representatives, she helps plan the Waltham Group Team Day and monthly meetings while supporting the programs in House 4: After School Programs. Audrey specifically focuses on the programs Afternoon Enrichment, Junior Brandeis Achievers, Kids Connection, Language and Cultural Enrichment, and Prospect Hills Kids Club.
