Undergraduate Student Community Engaged Mini Grant
About the Undergraduate Student Mini Grant
The COMPACT Undergraduate Student Mini Grant provides up to $500 in funding to support an undergraduate-led community-engaged project that advances the priorities of a community organization and creates positive social impact. This is a great opportunity for students to build their civic leadership skills, benefit from faculty mentorship, and prepare for larger-scale civic funds and programs such as the Newman Civic Fellowship, Projects for Peace, and other pathways for community engagement.
Eligibility
Student applicants must meet one of the following criteria:*
- Completed or currently enrolled in CESP 10a Foundations in Community Engagement.
- Alumni of the Samuels Scholars Program (SSP).
And provide:
- A letter of support from a faculty advisor who will provide mentorship for their project.
Requirements
- Follow COMPACT's grant guidelines.
- Student grantees must complete a final report within 30 days of the completed project including a short reflection (500 word max), a summary of outcomes (500 word max), and at least two photos with descriptions. This report must be approved by their faculty mentor.
