Benefits at a Glance
This page is designed to give prospective employees an overview of the major benefits offered by Brandeis University. A more comprehensive and detailed listing of employee benefits is available in the "Resources for Current Employees" section of this website.
The Office of Human Resources' compensation philosophy supports Brandeis University's mission, values and culture. We are committed to attracting, retaining and motivating qualified employees by offering a fair and equitable salary, generous benefits, career-advancement opportunities and employee recognition.
Medical, dental and vision benefits are generally effective on an employee's first day of employment. All other benefits are effective on the first day of the month after the employee's start date (e.g., March 1 for an employee starting Feb. 6), unless the first day of employment is on the first day of a month (e.g., Feb. 1 for an employee starting Feb. 1).
