A research team led by John Lisman, the Zalman Abram Kekst Chair in Neuroscience at Brandeis, and his colleague Matthew Wilson of MIT has discovered an abnormality in the schizophrenic brain that could be responsible for many schizophrenia symptoms and could provide a drug target for therapeutic treatments. The researchers published their findings in the June issue of the journal Biological Psychiatry.
