Rebecca Rabinowitz married Shai Akabas in July in Rockleigh, N.J. She works at the Advisory Board Co. in Washington, D.C., where she provides research on nursing for health-care systems. After graduating from Brandeis, Rebecca received a master’s degree in public health and social work from Columbia University. Cassie Seinuk wrote the Pestalozzi Prize-winning “From the Deep,” her master’s thesis play for Lesley University. Staged at Boston Public Works theater company, the play brings together two characters — POW Ilan Shaliach and a missing student, Andrew — to find connection through, in Cassie’s words, “shared collective consciousness and the ability to give something to a stranger.” Aaron Voldman ran Bethlehem’s Palestine Marathon and the Jerusalem Marathon to raise money for Encounter, an organization that takes international visitors and Israelis to meet Palestinians in the West Bank. After returning from a yearlong Dorot Fellowship in Jerusalem, Aaron is living in Wisconsin. Tamar Winters and Avtalyon Nussbaum were married in August in Parsippany, N.J. They met at Brandeis during junior year and have been together ever since. Tamar is a dentist at Morristown Cosmetic Dentistry. Avtalyon is senior coordinator in the entertainment and player-marketing division of the National Basketball Association.
