UTF Boston Site Leader
Jenna Friedman (she/her) is excited to be the site leader for the Boston hub of the Mandel Center Undergraduate Teaching Fellows program.
Jenna joined Temple Shir Tikva in 2017 as the director of youth engagement, a role she held for eight years before becoming their assistant director of education in 2025. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Film Studies from Tufts University, and in May of 2025, she graduated from HUC-JIR with an Executive Master's Degree in Jewish Educational Leadership.
Jenna credits her deep passion for youth professional work to her summers as a Jewish sleepaway camp counselor, and her deep love for education to the formative teachers she was lucky enough to have in her school years. Getting to mentor teenagers and young adults is one of the most cherished elements of her professional work, and she is proud to work in a synagogue school setting that celebrates and elevates the presence of college-aged teachers. Jenna and her partner, Jonathan, live in Boston and are constantly trying to convince each other to adopt a dog.
