The Mandel Center for Studies in Jewish Education’s (MCSJE) faculty and staff lead projects within the Boston area in support of high quality Jewish education. These projects gather teachers and education leaders around core topics of pedagogy and curriculum, with a focus on strengthening the Jewish educational experiences for students in a variety of learning contexts.

Seminar on Teaching the American Jewish Experience

A year-long professional development program for Boston-area supplementary-school teachers, supported by the education directors at their congregations, on topics that are central to the study of American Jewish history.

Vision Seminar

A year-long seminar for a cohort of local Jewish educational leaders, from diverse institutions, who will explore both the theory and practice of vision-guided Jewish education, and will work toward developing their own guiding principles for practice.

Professional learning, mentoring and supportive cohorts to undergraduates at Brandeis, in Boston, and in Providence who are working in supplemental Jewish education.
