Parking permits are issued annually to students, staff, faculty and other community members.
All students must have a parking decal visible on their vehicles at all times. Students that do not purchase a decal or temporary pass cannot park on campus at any time, including weekends. Students may apply for a motor vehicle permit at the beginning of the school year. Only resident juniors and seniors may have a vehicle on campus. All commuter students are eligible to apply for a parking permit.
All university employees who want to park in a campus lot must register their vehicle. Parking decals are issued in person from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Friday in the Stoneman Building. Campus parking lots and decals are color-coded; privileges are based on your campus office location.
Secure it on the exterior rear window (rear windshield) in the lower corner driver's side.
Permits are paid for at the time the application is submitted. Credit cards are accepted for payment.
Permit Fees for 2024/2025 Academic year are:
Resident Parking: South Resident, Foster Resident and Charles River = $225.00
Commuter Parking: $150
If your assigned parking lot is full, you can park at the Charles River lot on Angleside Road. It is the overflow lot.
If a citation is not paid within 30 days, a late fee of $5 is added. A hold will be placed on your student account if you have unpaid citations.
Nonpayment outstanding tickets will result in the immediate suspension of parking privileges and may result in complaints being issued against the registered owner and operator of the vehicle through the Student Judicial Board, Office of Human Resources or Waltham District Court.
Three or more unpaid violations can result in the vehicle being towed or otherwise immobilized by a mechanical device at the expense of the registered owner.
The appeal process is handled online. Fill out the form within 10 business days of receiving the citation. Failure to do so will result in the loss of the opportunity to appeal the citation, in which payment of the fines will be mandatory.
Overnight parking is prohibited in faculty/staff and commuter lots between 2-7 a.m. A vehicle parked in these areas at any time during those hours is subject to ticketing. If staying in a lot past 2 a.m., you must notify Brandeis Police Dispatch Center at x65000.
