Trademarks and Licensing
Protecting our name and image
Brandeis University promotes and protects its reputation and image by ensuring the proper use of its name and trademarks.
Our partnership with the Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC) gives the university control over its name, seal, logos and marks, ensuring the quality and consistency of all trademarked material and merchandise. Licensing also helps generate revenue that, in turn, funds scholarship programs.
Brandeis University is a member of the Workers Rights Consortium and the Fair Labor Association.
These two organizations are dedicated to combating abusive labor practices and protecting the rights of workers who make insignia merchandise and other products.
To assure compliance with these requirements, Brandeis University requires that departments, clubs, student groups and organizations wishing to have merchandise produce work with vendors from our approved vendor list (pdf).
