NIGMS-sponsored PhD Training Program
The goal of this graduate student training program is to produce rigorous, quantitatively-minded scientists equipped to solve increasingly complex problems in Molecular and Cellular Biology using integrated, cross-disciplinary approaches.
In addition to rigorous coursework and research training, students are provided with layered, individualized career development activities to help prepare for diverse scientific research and other science-related careers. Each trainee has a primary and secondary research advisor, in addition to a thesis committee, and participates in a two week-long off campus professional externship to explore aligned with their future intended career path.
