Kaplan Internship & Thesis Grants
Established in 2024, each year International & Global Studies will award one IGS student a Kaplan internship grant and one IGS student a Kaplan senior thesis grant.
The grants will go to students whose internship or thesis contributes to our understanding of economic globalization. Grant recipients will be required to present their experience and findings at either an IGS sponsored event or the annual spring Undergraduate Research Symposium.
Each grant will be in the amount of $500. The application deadline is Friday, March 29, 2024. Award recipients will be notified by May 1, 2024.
These grants are made possible through the Ellen Lasher Kaplan ’64 and Robert S. Kaplan Endowment for Economic Growth.
Eligibility Guidelines
- Students must have declared International & Global Studies as either their Major or Minor.
- Juniors will be prioritized for the Kaplan Senior Thesis Grant.
- Sophomores and Juniors will be prioritized for the Kaplan Internship Grant.
- The internship must be completed within 6 months of the grant disbursement date.
