Mentor

Karen Mai is a sophomore double majoring in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics as a MLK fellow. She has previously served as a Teaching Assistant for COSI 12 (Advanced Programming Techniques in Java) and COSI102 (Software Entrepreneurship), and now is helping out COSI 103 (Software Engineering). As a BUGS tutor, she also helped students in MATH 10a and MATH 10b. Outside of school, she loves to snowboard, bike, and hike. With experience interning within Biostatistics, Project Management, Non-Profit, Marketing, and Health & Wellness, she found out that she is most interested in continuing with Software Engineering. After graduating, she plans to continue on with graduate school or become a machine learning engineer. 

Bhakti Parwani

Bhakti Parwani is a sophomore triple majoring in Mathematics, Business, and Economics. She has previously served as a TA for Econ 2A: A survey of Economics and Econ 10A: Intro to Microeconomics, and is currently TAing of Bus 6A: Financial Accounting. She is currently a grader for Math 5A and Math 10B. She is on the varsity women’s tennis team at Brandeis and has represented India at the Junior Fed Cup.  Dimby Raveloson

Dimby Raveloson is a junior double majoring in Applied Mathematics and Classical Studies, and minoring in East Asian Studies as a Posse Scholar. He has previously interned at Brandeis Classical Artifact Research Collection (CLARC); with a full year's worth of research on Ancient Glass, complete with dating, identifying, and analyzing glass artifacts, Dimby was able to implement what he learned in both his Applied Math and Classics courses. Apart from that, he loves to spend time with his friends, play soccer, and sleep! Since high school, he has been interested in Applied Math and hopes to someday work in the field as a Mathematics Scientist.
