HONORS THESIS APPLICATION
Please complete the following Google Form (available here) to submit your application by May 1. If you have any questions, please contact Professor Alejandro Trelles at atrelles@brandeis.edu.
Note: Before submitting your application, you must speak with a faculty member in the Politics Department about your proposed thesis and secure their agreement to supervise your work.
In order to formally enroll in the thesis program, students should enroll in course 99a for the Fall and 99b in the Spring. To do so, follow these steps:
- Once your Politics Faculty Member Thesis Advisor agrees to supervise your thesis, please remind them to confirm that there is a section of POL 99a/b in their workday teaching schedule. If there is not, faculty should work with Melissa McKenna to request one from the Registrar.
- Request an override/permission to enroll in your Politics Faculty Member Thesis Advisor's section of POL 99a/b. This request will be sent to them in workday (and copied to Melissa McKenna) and is required even if they already verbally agreed to supervise your Thesis. This documents the process in workday.
- Once your professor approves the request, you will need to return to workday to complete registration in the section of POL 99a/b.
