Incoming Brandeis Students

Transfer Student

Until you have begun your formal undergraduate career with either a Fall or Spring semester, your summer courses are held in a separate record and as such are not counted in your GPA.

You may request to have these courses transferred to your permanent undergraduate record once you have matriculated.

Both credit and semester residency may impact a transfer student’s ability to use summer courses toward the Brandeis degree.  Such students should be aware of these how these requirements will impact their academic planning.

Residency

Limits to the total number of Summer School courses a degree candidate may use toward their degree are dictated by residency policies as articulated in the University Bulletin.

Residency is measured in both semesters and courses. As a result, there are different requirements for four-year and transfer degree candidates.

Summer 2021

We're busy planning Summer 2021! Take a look at our 2020 summer classes to get an idea of the classes we typically offer (courses change each summer). Let us know if there are classes you'd like to see offered!

Summer 2020 was online

Due to COVID-19, all Brandeis Summer School classes were online for Summer 2020. There were two models of instruction 5-week synchronous "remote learning" and 10-week asynchronous online courses. We are not certain if we will be having classes on-campus this summer, but will update students as soon as we know.
