Summer 2025 classes will be offered in multiple modalities: traditional on-campus classes in Waltham, online remote Zoom-based courses, and online asynchronous courses.

Session 1: Wednesday, June 4, to Thursday, July 3, 2025
- April 2025 — REGISTRATION OPENS!
- Self-service summer registration will open in Workday. Brandeis students can refer to the guide to registering in Workday. If you are new to Brandeis, out Visiting Summer Students page can help you get started with creating a new student record.
- In previous summers, some courses have filled to capacity rapidly. Students are advised to select their courses and enroll in Workday as soon as they are able to. In advance of registration, we suggest Brandeis students check their Workday accounts and make sure there are no holds that could prevent or delay enrollment.
- April 15, 2025
- Summer balances begin to appear in student accounts in Workday. Students can register before April 15, but summer balances will not appear, and cannot be paid, in Workday until after April 15.
- Friday, May 23, 2025
- Regular registration ends for Summer Session 1. Late registration begins — students must email summerschool@brandeis.edu after this date to enroll late.
- Friday, May 30, 2025
- Tuition payments for Session 1 classes are due.
- Monday, June 2, 2025 and Tuesday, June 3, 2025
- Shavuot - Jewish holiday observed — no class meetings.
- Tuesday, June 3, 2025
- Last day to drop with 100% tuition adjustment via time-stamped email to the Summer School Office.
- Wednesday, June 4, 2025
- First day of instruction for Summer Session 1 and O.
- Last day to drop with 75% tuition adjustment.

- Due to the missed class time from the various Summer Session 1 holidays, Monday, June 16th will be a "Brandeis Wednesday" and follow the Wednesday schedule in order to make up class contact hours. Please make a note of this special day of classes in your calendar!

- Wednesday-Sunday, June 18-22, 2025
- Pass/fail period for Session 1 classes. All enrolled students will be emailed a link to elect pass/fail online. A summer pass/fail counts as one of your Brandeis pass/fails. Learn more about the pass/fail option.

- Last day to drop class without academic penalty.
- Friday, June 27, 2025
