Job Description:

  • Conduct web-based and library research, proofreading, minor editing, drafting of correspondence to authors and publishers, and other tasks related to publications.
  • Assist in outreach including social media, flyer/poster design, database/listserv maintenance, and website updates.
  • Assist in all daily office activities including copying, scanning, collating, filing, organizing, and distribution of promotional and publication materials.
  • Help in preparation for institute events, coordinating with the various arms of the university, and prepare the event on location as needed. 

Skills Needed:

  • Creativity and experience in design, branding, and publicity.
  • Detail oriented, excellent writing and proofreading skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and able to assist with setting up conferences, meetings, and events.  
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office; willingness to learn if not already proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Cascade CMS and other programs.
  • Previous experience with photocopiers, fax machines, scanners.
  • Excellent organizational skills, neatness and efficiency required, responsible and dependable person with good people skills.

8-10 hrs/week in 2024-25 academic year

Position may extend into summer 8-10 hrs/week

$16-$18/hour, depending on experience

Graduate students preferred; undergrads with relevant experience will be considered
