Introduction to Workday Student

Transcript

Accompanied by upbeat music, the Brandeis logo appears on a blue screen.

We hear the narrator speak: “Brandeis is excited to announce that the university is moving to Workday Student. Workday Student will be Brandeis' new student information system, replacing many of the tasks performed in Sage today.”

The blue screen fades into a white screen with the words, “Workday Student”, spilling out of a megaphone.

Narrator: “With Workday Student, staff, faculty and students will have access to information anytime, anywhere on any device for several of their everyday tasks.”

The logo for the current Brandeis student information system, Sage, appears with an arrow pointing to the Workday Student logo. Images of phones, laptops, and tablets twirl on and off screen. A magnifying glass appears with the question, “How will Workday Student impact you?” Upbeat music continues to play in the background.

The narrator speaks: “For students, Workday will be used to…”

Narrator: “The transition has already begun and will continue in phases, also known as milestones, through Fall of 2021.”

The narrator says, “In November of 2020 the rollout of Workday Student began with Brandeis's implementation of the academic foundation, providing a structure to build academic programs, courses, and calendars to prepare for future milestones.”

The narrator says, “The second milestone will launch in spring of 2021 and will introduce class registration and advising functionality to campus.”

The narrator says, “The fourth and final milestone will take place in Fall of 2021. All remaining functionality, including entering and viewing grades, transcript requests, and graduation applications move to Workday, completing Brandeis's transition to Workday Student.”
