These grants have been awarded to student- and/or faculty/staff-initiated projects that address issues of identity, pluralism and unity.

Black-Jew Dialogues
Recipients: Jacklyn Gil and 
Ben Hill
The Black-Jew Dialogues is a two-man play, in which a black man and a Jewish man use their own experiences of racism in America to examine the wider topic of how each of us interacts with people who are different from us. It is framed as a serious conversation between the two that is interspersed with comedic sketches; after the show, the actors lead an audience discussion about the issues the play brings up.

Boston Debate League: Debating for Educational Justice
Recipient: Flora (Yuan) Wang

Brandeis Academic Debate and Speech Society 
Hundreds of middle and high school students from Boston, Cambridge, Somerville, and other nearby commuters will be converging on the Brandeis campus to put their newly-cultivated debate skills to test. Please volunteer to judge (absolutely no experience needed) or help organize this day of programming that will facilitate literacy and critical thinking skills, safety, confidence, and college readiness to these often underprivileged students.

Brandeis Dance Marathon
Recipient: Brittany Ritell 
Dance Marathon is a night of celebration, fun, and fundraising! The money raised from this event goes directly to help patients and families of the Boston Children's Hospital. Come for fun games, to see your favorite Brandeis Dance Groups perform, and to be a part of an amazing cause.

Brandeis Garden Week

Brandeis Garden Week is a campus-wide initiative to raise awareness of urban agriculture and garden education.

Brandeis TSA Night Market

Taiwanese Student Association 
TSA Nightmarket is the Taiwanese Student Association's biggest event of the year in which we recreate the atmosphere of the famous nightmarkets in Taiwan. Lanterns will decorate and light the streets as TSA and collaborating Intercultural Center clubs fill the night with their own food and games, bringing that adrenaline-pumping street feel to Brandeis’s campus.

B'yachad Lanetzach

Join B'yachad, Brandeis' Israeli Dance Troupe, for a fun night filled with dancing, singing, food, and much more! Our annual show, B'yachad Lanetzach, will feature performances from different groups across campus for a cultural experience like none other!

Faces of Bhopal showcases photographs of children affected by the December 1984 Union Carbide gas tragedy in Bhopal.

Love Your Body Day 2013

Brandeis Feminist Majority Leadership Alliance

Love Your Body Day is an event sponsored by Brandeis FMLA and co-hosted by Trisk and WOCA. The event, held in the SCC Atrium, is a celebration of self-love and body diversity, and there are many interactive informational booths in addition to a photo booth, letter writing campaign, and a chance to make t-shirts.

MELA 2013

Mela is the annual South Asian Cultural Show at Brandeis hosted by the South Asian Student Association. This year the theme of Mela is Rang: A Mosaic of Color! The event will highlight the talent, creativity, passion of Brandeis Students through a variety of performances including dance, music and art. Come enjoy this colorful cultural show!
