Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
The East Asian Studies program is committed to fostering an inclusive community, bringing together individuals from diverse backgrounds to explore the rich and varied traditions, cultures, and contemporary societies of a dynamic region that plays an ever more prominent role on the global stage. We hope our students will come out with an enhanced sensitivity and ability to appreciate the complexity and differences of the human experience, and question, analyze, and evaluate problems encountered in their own lives and the societies around them.
