Jill Becker, who has a master’s degree in mental health counseling as well as a medical degree, recently launched a coaching practice in Newton, Massachusetts. She seeks to help empower women by blending together Western traditions and sciences with alternative and holistic techniques. Melissa Grossman was appointed director of development at Understanding Our Differences, a nonprofit providing disability-awareness education in elementary schools. Richard Kimmel married Laura Weyl at New York City’s Elizabeth Street Garden on Oct. 14. The groom’s father, Robert, officiated. Richard is co-founder and managing partner of the Box, a performance nightclub. Nancy Steinberg is a writer and science communicator at the College of Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences at Oregon State University. She publicizes the college’s work in fields ranging from climate change, to volcanic eruptions, to ocean currents. She lives on the beautiful Oregon coast with her husband, Tom, and 13-year-old son, Sam.
