Laura Goldin Ames was admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court Bar on Nov. 7. Michael Harris married Molly Teitelbaum on Sept. 16 at the National Gallery of Canada, in Ottawa. The couple met in 2012 in Tel Aviv, when Molly was visiting her sister, who was in medical school with Michael. Michael is a staff pediatrician at NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi, and an assistant professor in pediatrics at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Molly is a filmmaker. Cameron Kaplan and his wife, Erin, had their second child, Mira Eliza, on Sept. 10. She joins big brother Oliver, who turned 2 on Oct. 1. A day after Mira’s birth, Cameron was awarded a $1.4 million grant from the National Institutes of Health to study the impact of the closure of the Medicare prescription-drug “donut hole.” He is an assistant professor of health economics at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Sarah Simpson-Baptiste and her husband, Rudolph, welcomed their first child, daughter Evangeline Mary, in March 2017. Sarah is a founding board member for the nonprofit Homegrown Change, which provides educational opportunities related to growing sustainable organic fruits and vegetables to Long Island’s children and communities.
