Michelle (Mel) Boomgaard left her position at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Mount Lebanon, Pennsylvania, after serving as an assistant and then an associate. She accepted a call to serve as rector (a priest in charge of a congregation) at St. Christopher’s Anglican Church in Burlington, Ontario, Canada. In August, she got engaged to Lou Hays (who was at the Reunion). They are planning an April wedding. William Friedman is a senior attorney in the New York office of the law firm Sullivan & Cromwell. Paul Murray, a wealth manager at Merrill Lynch in Boston, in 2017 was named one of the Top 401 Retirement Advisers by the Financial Times, the second year in a row Paul has earned this honor. Joe Spraragen enjoyed coming back to campus in June to preserve his perfect Reunion attendance record (5 for 5). He is a partner at Grunfeld Desiderio in New York, practicing customs and international trade law.
