University Studies
Prior to the adoption of the Brandeis Core in 2019, the university's general requirements program for undergraduate students in the School of Arts and Sciences was known as University Studies. Current undergraduates who entered Brandeis prior to fall 2019 will continue to follow the University Studies curriculum for the remainder of their Brandeis academic career.
The University Studies curriculum comprises five programmatic areas:
- Foreign Language
- Non-Western and Comparative Studies
- Oral Communication
- Quantitative Reasoning
- University Writing
