Dining and Keeping Kosher
Does Brandeis offer kosher food?
Yes. Sunday through Friday lunch, the Sherman Dining Hall offers a certified kosher buffet. A dairy breakfast is served daily, and meat and dairy days rotate for lunch and dinner. Kosher meals may be eaten anywhere in the dining hall.
On Friday evenings, Shabbat day (Saturday) and Jewish holidays, Brandeis Hillel offers gourmet kosher communal meals. Hillel also hosts a campus-wide Yom Kippur break-the-fast and Purim breakfast.
Kosher certification on campus is by KVH Kosher, one of North America’s main certifiers of kosher compliance.
Other kosher options on campus include Louis' Deli and the Hoot Market C-Store, which offers pre-made kosher grab-and-go sandwiches and salads and a variety of snacks.
