Lori Bernstein Caflun and her husband, Ephram, are owners and directors of Camp Wekeela, a sleep-away camp for ages 6-16 in Hartford, Maine. They have three sons and live in Ridgewood, New Jersey, during the school year. Jen Kaplan is serving her second year as president of Congregation Dorshei Tzedek, in Newton, Massachusetts. She is also producing and directing a new short documentary, “A Father’s Kaddish.” Her wife, Susie Tanchel ’92, PhD’06, is the head of Boston’s Jewish Community Day School, in Watertown. Daughter Jordana is a second-grader at the school. Lloyd Segal was appointed entrepreneur-in-residence at Versant Ventures, a global health-care investment firm based in Canada. He joined Versant last year to bolster company-creation activities as well as the firm’s presence in Canada and the United States. He founded and served as CEO of several successful biotechnology startups, including Advanced Bioconcept and Caprion Pharmaceuticals. Wendi Stein works in entertainment education with Vermont’s Population Media Center. She is the founder of Theatre Kavanah, a small theater company that focuses on works related to the Jewish experience. Vu Truong, P’20, celebrated his third year as CEO of Aridis Pharmaceuticals, a San Francisco-area company developing anti-infective immunotherapies. Daughter Isabelle ’20 is a Brandeis freshman.
