Marissa Collins and her husband, Daniel Short, welcomed their second son, Avi Ray Shorlin, into the world on Sept. 28. He joins older brother Leo James, who was born on Nov. 3, 2012. The family resides in Columbia, Maryland. Elissa Glucksman Hyne and Jay Hyne recently moved to Ridgewood, New Jersey, with their daughter, Lily. They would love to connect with other Brandeis graduates in the area. Samantha Sagui and Marc Rotter welcomed a daughter, Lily, in August. Jason Schlossberg and wife Lindsay had their first child, born in December. Joshua Simmons has been promoted to partner at Kirkland & Ellis, where he practices intellectual property litigation. U.S. Navy Lt. Cmdr. Loretta Stein, an ophthalmologist, met two other alumni at the U.S. Naval Base in Yokosuka, Japan: Lt. Cmdr. Robyn Treadwell ’01, a child psychiatrist, and Nana Im ’04, whose husband is a submarine officer. Ben Woodring graduated from Yale Law School and is working as a federal law clerk in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
