Elisa Albert, who lives in Amsterdam with her family, is working on her new novel as the Dutch Foundation for Literature’s writer-in-residence. In the fall, she was a visiting writer at Bennington College. Elisa’s third book, “After Birth,” was called “brilliant” by The New York Times and “profane, cathartic, wickedly funny” by The Wall Street Journal. Emily Bronstein reports her second child, George, was born on “May the 4th (be with you), 2016.” His big sister, Evie, is in love with her new playmate. Emily is director of communications and operations at Columbia Business School’s Career Management Center. In September, Rafi Cohen was promoted to director of Jewish student life at Hillel at the City College of New York. He, wife Michele and their two boys live in the Bronx’s Riverdale section. Jessica Hose and her husband, Thom Witt, welcomed their second daughter, Heidi Anne, on May 17, 2016, and report Elsie is delighted to be a big sister. Jessica works as associate director of Babson’s Blended-Learning MBA Program. She celebrated with other alumni at the October wedding of Jeffrey Hellman ’99 and Craig Gagnon. Myq Kaplan continues his comedy career, including multiple appearances on “Conan” and an album of stand-up, “No Kidding,” released in February. He also created a limited-edition podcast, “Words of the Years,” with fellow Brandeis comedian Zach Sherwin ’02.
